Guide to Greener Electronics by Greenpeace: Sony Ericsson The First, Scoring 7.7/10

Sony Ericsson has move from second place to first place in a study of green electronic device conducted by Greenpeace last year, scoring about 7.7/10 after Samsung and Sony. This leading was due to the improvement on its reporting of quantities of old mobile phones being recycled and a new models with free PVC plastic. However, Sony Ericsson has lost the points of the information to the customers on how to recycle the obselete phones.

From 37 products that were assessed from about 14 major electronic brands that participated, Sony Vaio TZ11 notebook, Sony Ericsson T650i and Sony Ericsson P1i came out to the most friendly and ‘greener’ electronic products to the environment - each of them scoring more than half marks.

Below is a table of Sony Ericsson overall score in this survey.
