XPERIA X1a and X1i : Best Comparison

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a and Sony Ericsson Xperia X1i, how to compare between them & how do they differ from each other? If we ask SE fans, they will give simple answer is Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a being sold in US, Latin America and Australia while Sony Ericsson Xperia X1i for Europe and Asia markets.
Furthermore, the X1a differs from the X1i in its network configuration along with its video support being 24 frames per second as opposed to 30 frames per second (which is basically DVD quality!). Both of them have tri-band HSPA. The US version (X1a) should have the 850/1900/2100 MHz. And the international version (X1i) should have the 900/1900/2100 Mhz.

Both versions are quad band EDGE. In the US, we have 850 and 1900, under AT&T. What this means is you’d get normal phone and EDGE reception. BUT, when you use the fast internet, 3G, you’d only be supported in areas where there are 1900Mhz.

For keyboard layouts, it depends on the locations such as the United Kingdom uses a QWERTY keyboard whereas Germany uses a QWERTZ, and France uses an AERTY. Rumors say that, Sony Ericsson Xperia X1a for North American market to be announced on Nov. 3 while Xperia X1i release date is sometime between second half of 2008 and beginning of 2009! I hope that’s true. Let’s get together to wait for them.
